For decades, hundreds of our Jean-Charles family members of Haitian origin have been living abroad scattered all over the world .The mass adoption of instant messaging and social media have created a frontier-less world with seamless communication that has brought a closeness to all friends and families This closeness has made it possible for extended family to come together as a larger group with a shared vision of ongoing collaboration between the different branches of any family especially for the large Jean-Charles family with family branches scattered across Europe and the Americas who were able to create the Jean Charles FamilyApp. Our group has tripled from 50 members to 150 within the past 6 months. Through daily conversations we have compiled and become aware that over 35% of the family are unfortunately still living in misery in Haiti. Those of us living in our native country have been deprived of all means and ways to satisfy daily basic life necessities.; consequently we, the most fortunate have decided to create the Jean Charles Family Foundation whose primary mission is to provide needed foods and basic healthcare to those in Laraque, Haiti, our birth place, in duress within the nearest practicable future. Afterwards such essential services will be offered to the expanded Laraque surroundings communities.
Our foundation will pursue every opportunity to raise funds,and other necessary resources to secure support to provide essential and vital services to the families under prolonged hardship in Haiti particularly in Larague and the neighboring communities. It is paramount we take decisive actions to accomplish our primary mission to help the struggling members of our family and extended communities.
Our foundation is committed to pursuing every opportunity to secure financial resources including organizing and planning social events like Galas, Seasonal Bake and Cooking Sales, Festivals, Raffles and Food Drives. These efforts aim to provide essential cultural and educational resources as well as medical services to the communities struggling in Haiti particularly in the Laraque region, a communal section of Marchand,-Dessalines, Haiti. Our primary goal is to ensure the success and longevity of the Jean-Charles Family Foundation.
